10 Best Killers Songs

The Killers are an American rock band that broke onto into the Las Vegas, Nevada, music scene in 2001. The band is comprised of Brandon Flowers on lead vocals, keyboard, and sometimes bass guitar, Dave Keuning on lead guitar and backup vocals, Mark Stoermer on bass guitar, sometimes rhythm guitar, and backup vocals, and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. on drums and percussion. The Killers, named after the bass drum in the New Order song "Crystal," blends elemental musical styles of 1980s era pop rock, bits of techno, and alternative rock with fantastic lyrics to produce powerful music unmatched by many recording artists.

The Killers grew to fame by playing in clubs within the Las Vegas area and recording demo tapes until word of mouth buzz drew the attention of Niall Norbury, a representative for the UK's Warner Brothers. Norbury passed the demo on to UK Indie label rep Ben Durling, of Lizard King Records. A meeting between Lizard King CEO Martin Heath followed and the band left a lasting impression. Heath later revealed to HitQuarters: "Great and interesting original-sounding songs. When we met Brandon Flowers for the first time it was very clear to me that he was a major star. He had huge charisma. He completely believed in what he was doing. He just stood out and carried the music." The Killers were signed shortly thereafter in July 2003. The Killers then released their first album, entitled Hot Fuss, in 2004 and released three other albums, with Def Jam records entitled: Sam's Town in 2006; Sawdust, a compilation album containing b-sides, rarities, and previously unreleased material in 2007; and Day & Age in 2008.

The Killers have sold over 6 million albums within the US, 5 million albums in the United Kingdom, and over 15 million albums throughout the globe, capturing a huge fan base with their fantastic sound. Here are the 10 Best Killers Songs:
