Alecia Beth Moore, best known by her stage name Pink, is an American recording artist who soared to fame over a decade ago. Pink busted on to the pop/rock music scene in April of 2000 with the Terence "Babyface" Abney produced debut album "Can't Take Me Home." The album quickly garnered Pink commercial success, reaching double platinum certification within the U.S. and sold over 5 million copies throughout the globe. The success of the album allowed Pink to open for boy band 'N Sync during the American leg of their Summer 2000 tour and propelled Pink's career. Following the success of Pink's first album, Pink also found success in her personal life with professional motorcross racer Carey Hart.
In 2001, Pink released her second album, entitled Missundaztood, featuring subtle, more edgy songs that captivated audiences worldwide. In November 2003, Pink released her third album, entitled Try This, which managed to grab attention but fell short of the huge commercial successes of her previous albums with album sales faltering around the 3 million copy range. The release of the single Trouble from Try This did, however, land Pink a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.
Success followed Pink off stage and in 2005, Pink held up a sign during one of Hart's motorcross races which read: "Will you marry me? I'm serious!" Hart accepted Pink's proposal and the pair wed in Costa Rica on January 7, 2006.
In April 2006, Pink released the album I'm Not Dead with four singles quickly reaching the #1 spot across multiple pop charts with album sales reaching 1.3 million copies. Two years later, in October 2008, Pink followed up her successes with the highly acclaimed release of the album Funhouse. Funhouse was certified platinum within its first week with album sales reaching 86,000 units. A Funhouse tour landed Pink among the top selling performers of 2009-2010 by selling 3 million tickets, with a total of 58 sold out concerts and performances throughout the U.S., Australia, France, and Europe. In November 2010, the first Pink compilation, entitled Greatest Hits...So Far!! was released.
