By combining the educational operations of three existing institutions namely the American Graduate School of Management (AGSM) of Denver, Colorado; the Sentinel University, also of Denver, Colorado; and the American College of Computer and Information Sciences (ACCIS) of Birmingham, Alabama, the American Sentinel University was formed in 2006. The formed university is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), also the accrediting body of its three partner institutions. The Nursing degrees have additional accreditation given by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). American Sentinel University is headquartered in Aurora, CO.
The university offers more than 20 online degree programs leading to associate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees. Courses offered are in the fields of Business, Healthcare and Technology. Master’s degree programs cost from $ 385.00 to $ 420.00 per credit hour while doctorate programs cost $ 540.00 per credit hour.
