The College for Financial planning is a provider of financial education with the specific goal of preparing its students in the quest to obtain the CFP® certification/mark from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Incorporated. It also offers a variety of college and graduate degree programs as well as continuing education courses. The College for Financial Planning offers its students a choice between its Online Mentor programs and Self-Study programs.
Its graduate degree programs include its Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning program and Master of Science in Finance - Financial Analysis Major. The Continuing Education Courses are all individual online courses. Examples of Continuing Education Courses are Fundamentals in Financial Planning, Estate and Insurance Planning, Ethics and Advanced Professional Development.
Total package prices for individual courses vary from $395 to $2885 for Self-Study programs (includes tuition, printed study materials and enrollment fee). For Online Mentor Programs total package prices range from $585 to $3885 (includes everything in self-study program plus online materials and audio files, printed workbooks, Mentor classroom instruction, headsets and testing fees).
Admission guidelines vary per course. Applicants can submit their application online, by phone or by email. Full tuition payment is required for admission to all courses. Financial aid is available in the college in the form of private loans from preferred lenders.
The College for Financial Planning is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (NCA). It is also authorized by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education to offer instruction for and to grant the master’ degree.
