Daytona State College has been providing higher education to various individuals living in the Volusia and Flagler County for more than 50 years now. Established sometime in 1957, Daytona State College or DSC provides over a hundred associate of science degrees and certificates and bachelor’s degrees in Applied Science in Supervision and Management and Bachelor of Science in Education. To make earning a degree more convenient and focused for students, DSC’s faculty of expert professionals conducts small-sized classes in six campus locations throughout Volusia and Flagler County. Aside from its main campus located at 1200 W. International Speedway Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Florida DSC has campuses at Daytona Beach, DeLand, Deltona, Flagler/Palm Coast, New Smyrna Beach-Edgewater, and at the Advanced Technology College.
DSC’s college experience is extremely comprehensive and includes career planning, athletics, membership in student clubs and cultural events and many more venues through which a student can further develop his potential.
Average tuition plus fees for admission to DSC is US$7,760. There are no on-campus housing facilities for students as students are allowed to commute to school and back. There are a total of 8,390 students at DSC’s main campus at Daytona Beach with a male to female ratio of 38.4% to 61.6%.
Financial Aid is provided to students to help defray cost of admission and this comes by way of scholarships and grants or student employment on campus. The college also offers career advice and insures that the courses taken by a student is in line with his career goals.
