US News and World Report has included Flagler College in the list of “America’s Top Colleges” and it’s easy to understand why. The school, located in St. Augustine, Florida boasts of having one of the best liberal arts courses in the United States. Moreover, it is located in a beautiful campus that is both a historic landmark as well as a former luxury resort.
The mission of the college is to provide a nurturing environment for students that will assist them in their journey towards acquiring skills and developing their character for their chosen field of endeavor. To insure that they are able to meet the demands of their chosen careers as well as motivate them to pursue graduate and professional studies, Flagler focuses its academic program on a strong undergraduate education. It offers degrees in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Science in Public Administration. Students are given the chance to choose from over 20 majors and 26 minors in liberal arts, business and education. For the pre-professional programs, Flagler offers human services and pre-law.
There are 2,537 students enrolled at Flagler College, 60.8% of them women. The student to faculty ratio is 20 to 1 which is ideal for students eager to learn and want a more focused approach to learning.
Cost of admission for academic year 2009-2010 for full-time undergraduate students is US$13,300. For part-time, it’s US$445 per credit hour. These fees refer only to tuition and do not include costs for room and board. To help defray cost, Flagler extends financial aid via loans, grants or student employment.
