Graceland University

Graceland University is a private liberal arts university founded in 1895 and housed in two separate campuses – its main campus in Lamoni, Iowa and another campus in Independence, Missouri. Inspired by its mission to insure that all students reach their full potential, the university offers various programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts or a Master of Arts degree in a wide range of majors. A comprehensive School of Nursing is housed in its Independence Missouri campus as well as undergraduate and graduate education programs. The undergraduate Business Administration program is also available at the Independence campus.

The main campus at Lamoni, for its part, offers 36 undergraduate and 60 degree options and is the site of the university’s varsity and intramural sports programs. The university also offers an online education program for Master of Education; Master of Nursing, RN to BSN, RN to MSN; and a BA in Health Care.

Cost of attendance for academic year 2009-2010 at the Lamoni campus in Iowa is US$26,870 per year for full-time undergraduate students. This cost includes tuition, room and board, and student activity fee. For part-time undergraduate students, the rate of tuition is US$630 per semester hour. Cost of attendance for graduate and post-graduate degrees varies according to the field of study chosen.

Financial aid is available in the form of grants, scholarships and loans.

On-campus housing via residential halls is required for all single, full-time freshman and sophomore students aged 21 and below. Only those who are married or living with their parents or legal guardians are exempted from this policy.
