Groundhog's Day 2011 is fast approaching. February 2, 2011 is the annual celebration of Puxsutawney Phil's famous winter weather prediction during which Phil will be pulled from his burrow to see his shadow.
The festivities will be held at Gobbler's Knob in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. Onlookers and multiple media sources will gather to see if Puxsutawney Phil will see his shadow as they have since 1887. If Phil sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter are to be expected. If Phil doesn't (which is rare as since inception, Phil hasn't seen his shadow just 15 times) it means Spring will arrive sooner versus later.
