John Edwards paternity test proves he is the father of Rielle Hunter's child
A recent paternity test has proven that John Edwards is the father of his mistress' child.
In August 2008, the former presidential candidate admitted on an ABC News interview to having a sexual affair with campaign employee Rielle Hunter.
However Edwards has consistently denied fathering Hunter's child, despite the fact that he's been paying her $15,000 a month.
Hunter allegedly wanted to ensure she'd continue receiving Edwards' support and decided to have him undergo a paternity test.
A source told reporters, “she was worried about getting long-term financial support for her daughter. So she hired an attorney, and John consented to undergo a secret swab test to establish paternity.”
