Larson Lakeview Bulldogge Dog Breed

Named after the breeder (Kevin Larson) and the kennel where it was developed (Larson Lakeview Kennels), the Larson Lakeview Bulldogge is a working breed. It is a result of combining breeds such as the American Bulldog, English Bulldog, the Mastiff, American Pit Bull Terrier, the Bullmastiff and the Bull Terrier. This massive and muscular dog weighs from 50 to 110 pounds and stands at a height of 16 to 22 inches. Typical of bulldog breeds, it has a large head which is moderately wrinkled, a flat forehead and a lower jaw that is turned up and juts beyond the upper jaw. It has a short and thick neck, a short muzzle that is scrunched up and ears that hang close to the head. The front legs are short and either straight or slightly bowed and the thighs are muscular. Its tail may be cork-screwed, pump-handled or bent and tight to the body. The coat is short and covers the body with colours usually appearing in brindle on white. There are also dogs with complete calico coats.

The Larson Lakeview Bulldogge was originally bred for its size and strength and makes for a good guard dog. It is very protective of its owner and family and can be territorial especially when there are strangers in the house. As a household companion however, it is very friendly and affectionate including with children. Despite its size, it is playful but it has a dominant streak that it shows to other dogs through play. It has a life expectancy of 12 to 14 years.
