9-Day Traffic Jam in China Spans 62 Miles!

Your text to link... Everyone gets ticked off if stuck in traffic for more than an hour or two; imagine the state of those who have been waiting on the road for the China Traffic Jam to disperse for the past 9 days. Yes, the massive traffic jam that has been going on for the past 9 days in China has people worried sick as the distance spans more than 62 miles.
The main reason behind the heavy traffic jam near Beijing, China, is the maintenance work going on the National Expressway 110 which was severely damaged because of the heavy duty vehicles using it for a prolonged period of time. The traffic jam on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway started to accumulate on the 14th of August 2010, as fruit trucks and coal carriers blocked the road due to intense rush.
According to a local Chinese newspaper, the people on the road are not only suffering at the hands of the intense traffic but are also being overcharged for basic food items. The locals who are supplying the necessary food items and amenities to the people stuck in the stalled traffic are charging exorbitant prices, almost four times the normal price.
The worst part is that the traffic jam is speculated to continue well into September as the maintenance work on the Expressway is due to be completed mid-September.
