UK singer Adele's highly anticipated second album entitled 21 opened with a smash and hit the #1 spot on charts within 14 countries. The album sold an astonishing 69,000 units in one day and successfully out sold the likes of Bruno Mars who's album Doo-Wops & Hooligans debuted at #1 last Sunday.
The official tally will not be counted until Sunday but the first single from 21, entitled "Rolling In The Deep" has already topped iTunes charts in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Greece, Switzerland, New Zealand, Portugal, Holland, Austria, Luxembourg, and Finland. Adele's 21 has already outsold all of the other artists among the top ten, including Mars, Rihanna, and Ellie Goulding.
