Adrien Brody or Jonathan Rhys Meyers to Be the Next 'Mr. Fantastic'

21st Century Fox has planned on restarting the franchise and reboot 2005’s “Fantastic Four” and have said they will hire new and better actors for it, Hollywood.com says.
Such reboot strategies have been undergone by other Marvel movies directors, including Bryan Singer and Matthew Vaughn with their works on “X-Men: First Class” prequel/reboot.
The new “Fantastic Four” will have a completely computer-generated character for The Thing, which was formerly played by Michael Chiklis. For the role of Sue Storm, Alice Eve and Amber Heard are reportedly being brought under negotiations.
But according the latest reports, Adrien Brody or Jonathan Rhys Meyers are on the studio's shortlist to play Mr. Fantastic, the genius scientist whose body is elastic. Sources say that the big name talents will be signing in to replace Ioan Ruffudd, who played Reed Richards in the previous two films. Either one can bring a dramatic improvement in the caliber of the planned reboot.
Brody recently starred in the films “Predator” and “Splice,” and is also is under negotiations to star in another Marvel film “Ant-Man.”
Meyer last appeared in “From Paris With Love” with John Travolta, and in “The Tudors.”
The untitled reboot of “Fantastic Four” is set to release in theaters by the summer of 2012.
