Anthony Julies, Cape Town Man, Facing Charges Of Beastiality.  Julies appeared before the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on July 21, 2010 to face charges relating to a June incident regarding his neighbor's poodle.  Police reports indicate that the Lavender Hill neighbor witnessed Julies having sex with his dog. Officials suspect that drugs contributed to the incident.  A source following the investigation stated that "he [Julies] did this in front of his neighbour and he didn't even try to sstop when his neighbours told him to.  He said he must finish because he couldn't start and then stop because that wasn't right."  The source went on to reveal that Julies "said that the dog mustn't flaunt herself like that to him."


Julies was arrested on June 15, 2010 when witnesses reported the incident.  Julies appeared in an initial hearing on June 17, 2010 where prosecuters maintained the dog's reproductive organs were damaged by "alleged penetration."  Julies met the R500 bail a day later and is now facing trial.  Julies refused a legal aid lawyer and chose to represent himself.
