BMW Recalls Nearly 345,000 Cars Worldwide

BMW has announced the recall of nearly 345,000 5 Series, 6 Series and & Series cars equipped with V8 or V12 motors. The cars involved were sold between model years 2002 and 2010, and drivers of the affected vehicles may experience a loss in braking pressure as a result of a vacuum leak in the braking system. BMW will notify owners worldwide in the coming weeks, but owners experiencing problems with their braking system should schedule a service appointment as soon as possible.

The recall also extends to Rolls Royce Phantom models built between 2003 and 2010, as they share brake system components with the BMW models involved in the recall.
