Bruno Mars Will Plead Guilty & Accept Plea Bargain for Cocaine Possession Charges at Feb 4 Hearing

E! News was first to report that singer Bruno Mars will plead guilty and accept a plea bargain for cocaine possession charges. Mars will offer his plea at a February 4, 2011 hearing to avoid jail time. The "Just The Way You Are" award winning singer was arrested in September 2010 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on suspicion of narcotics possession. At the time of Mars' (nee Peter Hernandez) arrest, he was found with 2.6 grams of a "substance believed to be cocaine."

Mars is expected to receive a $2,000 dollar fine, one year of informal probation, 200 hours of community service, and drug counseling. The September arrest was Mars' first offense.
