Chevrolet Corvettes Recalled for Steering Column Issue

General Motors has announced the recall of 40,029 Corvettes from model years 2005 and 2006. Cars built between March 2004 and January of 2006 are included in this recall. Repeated repositioning of the tilt and telesoping steering wheel may degrade the signal of sensors related to the vehicle's Active Handling System, illuminating a warning light. A false signal could engage the vehicles brakes, causing a potential loss of control.

Owners with questions can contact Chevrolet at (800) 630-2438.
