Christina Aguilera botches the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl XLV opening ceremony. Despite the high honor and pre-game expression of her excitement regarding her Super Bowl performance, Aguilera goofed the lines of The Star Spangled Banner just 51 seconds into the song. Rather than singing "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming," Aguilera sang "What so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last streaming."
Aguilera kept singing, despite the gaffe, as any good performer does, and has yet to publicly acknowledge the incident. Afterall, what's a couple of mixed up words before an audience of over 150 million eager Super Bowl viewers?
