"Family Guy" Actress Pokes at Palin's Lack of Humor

In light of recent "retard" comments polluting airwaves, offending the masses, and entertaining Family Guy viewers, Andrea Fay Friedman went on the record against former Vice Presidential Candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Friedman is a 39 year old actress who was a voice for the Family Guy's character Ellen.

In an e-mail to The New York Times sent Thursday, Friedman responded to Sarah Palin's "really isn't funny" comment regarding the present controversy. Friedman wrote: "I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "'sarcasm.' In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life." Friedman also stated: " "It's not really an insult. I was doing my role, I'm an actor. I'm entitled to say something. It was really funny. I was laughing at it. I had a nice time doing voice over. It was my first time doing a voice over, and I had fun."

Palin and her daughter Bristol found the slew of jokes, including those aired on the "Family Guy," in the "retard" controversy personally offensive Palin is mom to Trig, who has Down's Syndrome.
