Ford Recalls 33,000 2010 Vehicles for Seat Malfunction

Ford has announced the recall of 33,000 sedan and SUV models, including the Ford Explorer, the Ford Explorer SportTrac, the Ford Fusion, the Mercury Mountaineer and the Mercury Milan. The seat recline mechanism in these models can fail during a rear-impact collision, resulting in potential injury to vehicle occupants. Ford will replace the seats in recalled vehicles with ones featuring a revised recline mechanism. Only 2010 model year vehicles are effected by this recall, and owners with questions can contact Ford's customer service at (866) 436-7332.
