A new website GradeGov.com has been established to allow citizens the chance to grade individual congress members and to remind the politicians who they work for.
Grade Gov's motto, They work for you. Remind them. makes it clear that the purpose of the site is to hold government accountable and give voters their own voice rather than relying on narrow minded, self-interested TV and radio pundits.
According to the website's founder, Elizabeth Letchworth, the idea is to take power of job analysis away from the pundits on TV and put it back in the hands of the individual citizen. This makes sense because political pundits are often biased because their own careers depend on being politically identifiable.
Government officials and congressional lawmakers will receive a grade ranging A through F. Visitors to GradeGov.com will be able to look at average grades for individual members of congress as well as average grades for political parties.
