Nissan's market research has shown that over half of prospective Leaf electric car buyers have owned or still own a Toyota Prius. Nissan sees these customers as early adopters of green technology, who are willing to embrace new eco-friendly products as soon as they beome available. To date, Nissan has received 130,000 orders for the electric plug-in Leaf, expected to begin delivery in December of 2010.
