Harley-Davidson Reports 24.3% Sales Decrease in Q1 2010

Harley-Davidson motorcycles has reported a 24.3% decrease in sales in Q1 2010 as compared to Q1 2009. The sales decline is a result of the poor U.S. economy limiting demand for heavyweight motorcycles, coupled with tightening credit requirements. Harley-Davidson sees the decline as expected, and is optimistic that sales decline appears to be slowing down as their dealers head into their busiest sales months. In fact, Harley-Davidson estimates that they'll close 2010 with sales just 10% below 2009's numbers.
