Illinois Man Duped Out of $200,000 by Fake Woman

Officials report that on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 a forty eight year old Illinois man stepped forward with claims he was duped out of $200,000 dollars by a fake person. Naperville authorities maintain the man was involved with a "woman" via a two and a half year online relationship and the man wired $200,000 to various bank accounts in Nigeria, Malaysia, England, and the U.S. after the woman claimed she'd been kidnapped in London. Officials launched an investigation and determined the woman was not real, despite her forged Florida drivers license shown to the man.

The man is reportedly "in disbelief" at the news the woman faked her identity and the majority of their relationship.
