The Chief Minister of Indian provider Andhra Pradesh, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, better known as YSR, has died in a helicopter crash.
The body of 60-year-old YSR was found on Rudrakonda Hill, 40 nautical miles east of New Dehli.
According to local reports, Andhra Pradesh finance minister K Rosaiah has been appointed caretaker CM.
The dead bodies of four others, two pilots and two of the chief minister's aides, were also recovered from the spot of the accident, said media reports.
The helicopter had gone missing yesterday morning after taking off from the state capital Hyderabad. The chief minister was flying to Chittoor when his chopper crash landed in the midst of inclement weather with heavy rains.
