Jack Roush's plane crash Tuesday night July 27, 2010 leaves the NASCAR team owner seriously injured but in stable condition. Reports indicated that Roush was flying an aircraft when his plan slid off the Wittman Regional Airport's runway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Roush was attemping to land the Hawker Beechcraft Premiere business jet at approximately 6:15 p.m. when the aircraft suffered a landing accident at Runway 18. The National Transportation Safety Board and Winnebago County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Jack Roush of Northville, Michegan, and Brenda Strickland, of Plymouth, Michegan, walked away from the accident and were transported to local hospitals. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
Roush suffered facial lacerations and faces surgery. Strickland was treated for non-life threatening injuries resulting from the crash.
The pair attended the annual Experimental Aircraft's Associations AirVenture event.
