In "oh no, uh oh" news, Jenny McCarthy's seat on the once very popular daytime talk show The View has been slammed, HARD by The Talk hostess Julie Chen. Chen's fire burned on January 11, 2013 while making the rounds on Howard Stern's radio talk show with Sharon Osborne.
Apparently Les Moonves' wife (yes that's Julie Chen - the one and only present wife of the chairman and CEO of CBS and former big wig at Viacom)slammed her show's competition by picking on the "beautiful and talented" former MTV starlet, buxom, big mouthed, and blonde McCarthy. And Chen didn't hold back one ounce of her opinion. She quipped that it was a massive mistake for ABC to take on Jenny to fill Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck's vacancies "because what made The View so popular and so good was that it was five different women - from five different walks of life - discussing politics." Chen then elaborated with "What put them on the map and made them good and famous, they don't do that anymore. No one wants to hear about Jenny McCarthy talk about the New York mayoral race of politics. They don't. That's not what you put Jenny McCarthy on for."
Chen went on to insist that much of The View's identity was lost with Behar and Hasselbecks' departures. She also said that though McCarthy's presence "lighten[s] the mood at the table - more gossip, more fun, more laughs... what happened was, in my opinion, The View doesn't know what it is now." Osbourne agreed with Chen and piped in with "You watched it for their different opinions and now it's kind of all over the place. It's not one or the other."
Whew. Glad we're not Jenny McCarthy...though we really can't wait to hear how Jenny addresses Julie's jabs!
