JFK Letters to Supposed Mistress on Auctioning Block

Gunilla Von Post was a 21 year old Swedish woman, fifteen years younger than John F. Kennedy when the President met and the pair fell in love. JFK's supposed philandering with Von Post and others was much speculated and mainly kept under wraps.
In a tell all published in 1997, Von Post penned the story of the affair she had with JFK. In her book, Von Post revealed the clandestine love affair she had with JFK. The pair met in 1953 on the French Riviera, before JFK married Jacuqeline Bouvier. The President's feelings for Von Post lingered and he sent Von Post letters the summer after he married. In one of his letters he wrote “I might get a boat and sail around the Mediterranean for two weeks–with you as crew.”

The letters between JFK and Von Post went up auction today. Bidding starts at $25,000 and may sell for at least $100,000.
