Police in Massachusetts say a baby girl who was cut from her mother's womb has been found alive and two people have been arrested in the woman's killing.
Julie Corey, 35, and an unidentified man were arrested in New Hampshire after friends said they were suspicious of Corey’s claims she had given birth.
Police said Wednesday the baby appeared to be in good health at a nearby hospital.
Police Chief Gary Gemme said,“The entire Worcester community should be extremely grateful for the tireless effort exerted by the men and women of the detective division in working around the clock to investigate this case.”
The baby’s mother, Darlene Haynes, 23, was eight months pregnant. She was found dead Monday.
