Tony Kornheiser has been suspended for on air comments directed at CBS's Hannah Storm. Kornheiser hosts ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption." Last Friday, Kornheiser exchanged his sports commenting for fashion comments involving an on air criticism of Storm's attire. Kornheiser rendered Storm's shirt as "sausage casing" and insisted that Storm's skirt was "way too short for somebody her age."
Kornheiser went on to explain “She’s what I would call a Holden Caulfield fantasy at this point" during an ESPN show airing from Washington, D.C. Executive Vice President of ESPN, John Skipper, admonished Kornheiser's commentary, calling them "inappropriate" and "hurtful." Kornheiser faces a two week suspension starting Monday, February 22, 2010. Kornheiser has since publicly apologized to Storm.
