London School of Economics Finds Attractive People Have Higher IQs

A study conducted by the London School of Economics concludes that attractive people have higher IQs and published their findings in the most recent edition of the journal Intelligence. Researchers studied 52,000 people from the United States and the United Kingdom and discovered a link between looks and intelligence. Satoshi Kanazawa reported: "Physical attractiveness is significantly positively associated with general intelligence."

The study found that attractive men scored 13.6 points higher than average men and attractive women scored 11.4 higher than average in IQ tests. Kanazawa and the team also found that beautiful people have an increased likelihood of marrying similarly beautiful people. Kanazawa offered: "Given that both intelligence and physical attractiveness are highly heritable, there should be a positive correlation between intelligence and physical attractiveness in the children's generation."
