The Luke Air Force Base, in Glendale, Arizona, was the sight of tragedy late Monday night. Two men crashed through the base's front gate late in a car that was apparently stolen. Base officials responded by opening fire. One person was killed and the other was wounded.
Captain Jerry Gonzalez, Luke Air Force Base's spokesman, said that the victims were fleeing from local authorities. Base security put up a roadblock in an attempt to assist authorities. Officials do not believe terrorism was a factor in the crash.
