An exclusive interview with US Weekly has confirmed the engagement between Mad Men stars Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel. The source confirmed the pair (who have
been dating since last year) were engaged "a few weeks ago." The ring is supposedly "huge" and the duo "couldn't be happier." There is yet to be any news regarding how the 33 year old actor popped the question to his 31 year old future bride nor is there any word as to when their big day is.
Kartheiser made no secret of his intentions to wed Bledel and was overheard of his plans by a guest at the David Cross and Amber Tamblyn wedding last fall. The guest scooped: "He was saying they might elope and do parties in New York, L.A., and her hometown Houston." Apparently the secret behind this long distance Hollywood relationship per Kartheiser's confession is the dedication to seeing one another and communicating regularly. He offered: "The most important thing, for us, is to make sure that we see each other in the flesh at least once every 10 days. All the other stuff is good, like FaceTime and the texting. I love seeing her. You gotta make the flight. I'm a really lucky guy."
The pair were linked last June when their on camera disastrous relationship - with Bledel's role as an unstable mistress to Kartheiser's role as Pete Campbell - blossomed off camera. By October, the dynamic duo walked the red carpet together and in January of this year, the pair went public with their relationship by attending the Golden Globes.
