Michael Jackson’s Parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson are splitting ways after sixty long years of marriage. Katherine Jackson filed from her allegedly abusive husband Joe, the Daily Star reports. The two have nine children together.
Katherine filed for divorce when Joe placed Katherine at blame for Michael’s death during an interview with the News of The World. Joe alleged to the UK gossip rag that on the night of Michael’s death: “I begged her [Katherine] to go over and stay with him [Michael], but she insisted he needed his privacy.”
Katherine and Joe Jackson have been separated since 1999. Katherine lives at the family’s estate in Encino, California and Joe in an apartment in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple never made their split official for religious reasons. Katherine has sole custody of Michael Jackson’s children — Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8.
