MTV Writer Scott Aukerman Claims Bruno/Eminem Stunt Was Staged

Andy Samberg’s head writer on the MTV Movie Awards, Scott Aukerman, now claims that the controversial Bruno/Eminem stunt was entirely staged and rehearsed.

In Sunday’s skit, Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed as gay Austrian fashion guru Bruno, flew down from the ceiling in white angel feathers and accidentally landed with his head in Eminem's lap and thonged bare rear in his face.

As the suspended Cohen struggled to get up, Eminem’s entourage began pushing and shoving him to free the rapper. Afterwards, Eminem and his followers seemed to stomp heatedly out of the Universal Amphitheatre.

After much speculation and silence from both MTV and Eminem, Aukerman wrote on his blog: "Yes, the Eminem-Bruno incident was staged. They rehearsed it at dress [rehearsal] and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show." He later mysteriously took down the post.
