Nap Nanny Recalled After 4 Month Old Infant Dies

Nap Nanny recalled after a 4 month old infant dies sitting in the portable baby recliner.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled over 30,000 Nap Nanny infant seats manufactured by Baby Matters LLC of Berwyn, Pennsylvania.  The 4 month old Michigan infant's death was caused when she was trapped between the nap nanny foam chair and the bumper of her crib.  The baby was found hanging over the side of the Nap Nanny and sparked a large recall of the infant product.

The Nap Nanny infant seats were sold at toy and children's retail stores nationwide and online from January 2009 until the recall effective on July 26, 2010.  The seats were available for purchase for $130 dollars.  Consumers have been advised to contact Baby Matters for new product instructions and warnings, or to recieve a coupon toward the purchase of a new Nap Nanny.
