Stacy Schuler, an Ohio gym teacher at the Mason High School in Warren County, is facing charges for allegedly having sex with five students. Warren County officials have charged the nearly thirty three year old Springboro resident with 16 counts third degree felonies of sexual battery and three misdemeanor counts of sexual offenses with underage person following reports of intercourse with five students.
The Warren County Prosecutor's Office claims that Schuler had sexual contact with the students on five occasions from August 2010 until December 2010. The Prosecutor's Office claims the sexual acts occurred primarily with Mason High football players off of school grounds but did not happen at a party. The parents of the students were "surprised and had no idea" regarding the interactions between Schuler and their teens.
Authorities have also linked Schuler to former Mason High assistant principle George Coates, who allegedly sent sexual images via text message to Schuler. Coates resigned from his position early this month for "personal reasons."
Schuler turned herself in to authorities on Friday and was arraigned in Warren County Common Pleas Court. A judge set bond at $50,000 dollars and ordered Schuler to stay away from the victims and other students.
If convicted, Schuler faces a sentence of 81 years in prison. The investigation into Schuler's case began with an anonymous tip offered to high school officials the week of January 10, 2011 per the school's spokesperson.
