Oprah Winfrey, talk show host, philanthropist, and one of the world's most powerful women, sat down with Barbara Walters for an exclusive ABC interview. A portion of the interview was shown on today's Good Morning America and featured a tear filled discussion with Walters and the reigning daytime talk show queen. Walters is notorious for reducing her subjects to tears, and even Oprah fell victim to Walters' powers, despite telling herself she wouldn't cry.
During the interview, Oprah asserted "I'm not a lesbian. I'm not even kind of a lesbian" to squash rumors about her sexuality. Oprah also declared that her best friend (and supposed "lover") Gayle King is "the mother I never had. She is the sister that everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person." Oprah broke down and stated: "It's making me cry because I'm thinking about how much I probably have never told her that."
"Oprah: The Next Chapter" will air Thursday, December 9, 2010 during an hour long ABC special. Tune in at 9:00 p.m. EST to watch!
