It's official! Prince William and Kate Middleton have welcomed a bouncing baby boy into the world! An official statement confirmed the baby was born at 4:24 p.m. local time at St. Mary's Hospital in London on July 22, 2013 just 14 hours after Kate was admitted.
The Royal Family offered a statement confirming the birth with: "The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, & families have been told and are delighted. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well and will remain in the hospital overnight."
The littlest member of the Royal Family weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. His proud parents and family have yet to release his name but we expect they will soon. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not discuss the possible names before the child arrived so everyone is wondering. Many are even guessing: will it be John? Charles? George? Or Henry?
Place your bets soon as it likely won't be long before William and Kate present the little one to the world. Many are hopeful they will stand on the steps of the same hospital William was presented by his parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, in 1982.
