Zsa Zsa Gabor's publicist said on Sunday that the 93-year-old actress is in extremely serious condition after having two blood clots removed at a Los Angeles hospital.
Publicist John Blanchette said he had spoken with Gabor's husband Frederic Von Anhalt. Anhalt had told Blanchette of her condition, and he described the situation as "very sad."
Blanchette says Gabor was in surgery for several hours on Saturday for the removal of the clots from her upper body. One of the clots he said had been close to the Hungarian-born actress’ heart.
Gabor was hospitalized on Friday afternoon because she was bleeding and in a lot of pain.
Gabor had broken her hip on July 17. She had a hip replacement surgery and had just returned home from the hospital Wednesday.
Gabor is a Hollywood legend who has been a fixture in Hollywood movies and on television for decades. She She starred in movies "Moulin Rouge," "Lili" and "Touch of Evil."
