Rihanna and Britney Spears Team for "S&M" Remake

Megastars Rihanna and Britney Spears have teamed for a remake of Rihanna's ultrasexy song "S&M." The Barbadian singer offered fans the option of appointing the artist to collaborate for her current single via Twitter and fans opted for Britney Spears. Negotiations followed and music executives finessed a high powered remix between Rihanna and Spears complete with an official announcement of the collaboration on April 11, 2011. Rihanna Tweeted the news with "by popular demand...one of the biggest worldwide popstars" has joined forces for the "S&M" remake. Spears responded with "You're such a tease! I like it, like it. You think they're ready Ri Ri?"

The remixed "S&M" song has highly suggestive lyrics despite being scrubbed clean of any sadomasochistic "whips" and "chains." The collaboration also has Rihanna and Spears sharing vocals with alternating verses of from the original song, released on Rihanna's Loud album during November of 2010.

The "S&M" collaboration buzz has only upped the anticipation of Rihanna's Loud Tour and has increased ticket sales to record breaking highs for the UK leg of the tour beginning in October. Rihanna has also officially been named the only artist with the most headlining dates at London's O2 Arena with her tenth performance at the popular venue scheduled for December 20, 2011.
