Steven Tyler Signs on as ‘American Idol’ Judge: Reports

The rumors about Steven Tyler being the next “American Idol” Judge are true, as reportedly, the Aerosmith’s singer signed a deal to become a judge on the reality show.
E! news reported on Tuesday that "a very-inside source" confirmed that the frontman would indeed be at the the judges' table, where he will serve as a judge for Season 10 of the hit FOX television show.
Sources close to the rocker have confirmed the news as well: E! says the rocker finished up negotiations with the show last week. This means that beginning early next month, when the judges first meet contestants for "Idol" at the various city audition rounds across the country, Steven will get to judge the singers.
While Steven is reportedly in at "Idol," it remains unclear who else could still be chosen as an idol judge, as both Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi will not be seen at the judging panel this season.
E! News reported that FOX is still considering Jennifer Lopez despite her reported demands for hair, makeup, a styling team and a hefty dressing room. Additionally the network is said to be speaking with several "big celeb names."
Randy Jackson is expected to return to the judges table next season.
