American swimmer Ricky Berens became an internet sensation when he accidentally revealed his tush at the swimming world championships in Rome this weekend.

Berens was swimming the 4x100 relay but a minute before stepping onto the starting block Berens stretched and ripped his suit, exposing his rear-end.

The Beijing gold medalist said, "I kind of freaked out for just a second,I felt like [the split] was almost down to my knees. I felt like I was putting on a pretty good show."

Despite the incident, the American relay team took the gold medal in the event.
