Thomas Beatie, better known as the Pregnant Man, gave birth to his second child, a boy, early Tuesday morning.
Beatie, 35, born a woman, Tracy Langondino, had undergone a sex change operation, but opted to keep his female reproductive organs. Since his wife Nancy, 46, is unable to have children, Beatie decided to become pregnant through artificial insemination when they wanted to start their own family.
The father first won attention when he appeared in the news last year as the first transgendered man to get pregnant. He gave birth to his first child, a daughter named Susan Juliette, last June. Several months later he announced his second pregnancy.
Sources tell ABC that Beatie and his wife Nancy welcomed their second child through “natural childbirth” on Tuesday.
