Todd Palin, husband of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin, is in the midst of an affair and sex tape scandal with Shailey Tripp. Sources have revealed to the National Enquirer that last year, Todd had an affair with Tripp, a female massage therapist and computer technologist turned prostitute. The alleged affair has the potential to thwart Sarah's political career and 2012 presidential aspirations, as well as completely ruin the couple's nearly 23 year marriage.
The National Enquirer disclosed documents which surfaced January 4, 2011 revealing details of the tryst via an anonymous email. The email stated: "My sources reveal that a massage therapist and computer technologist, Shailey Tripp, had an affair with Todd Palin that lead to her arrest March of 2010....According to the tenants in the building of her offices, they saw Todd come up and go often and heard noises that sounded like someone was having sex. It was the same tenants who called the police on her."
An investigation into the allegations followed and the Enquirer confirmed tripp was arrested in Anchorage for "maintaining a house of prostitution" on March 4, 2010. Court documents reveal Tripp pleaded "no contest" to the charges at a June 13 hearing, payed a $500 dollar fine, agreed to 80 hours of community service, ordered to not post ads on Craigslist regarding her "services," and is awaiting sentencing on June 15, 2011. The case will likely be dismissed if Tripp maintains the agreements ordered by the court.
The Palin family's representatives have reportedly "vehemently" denied the cheating allegations.
