Trina Thompson is suing Monroe College in the Bronx because she has been unable to find a job after she completed a BBA in Information Technology.
The New York Post is reporting that she filed a legal action last week, after four months of unsuccessful job hunting.
The 27-year-old is demanding to be repaid her $70,000 in tuition fees.
Thompson claims the university's careers service did not provide her with the contacts and advice it promised when she began studying.
Monroe College PR director Gary Axelbank said the lawsuit was completely without value because the college does support its graduates in finding a job.
