Nova Southeastern University Online

Nova Southeastern University is a private, not-for-profit research university located in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida. It is the product of the merger of two notable learning institutions – Nova University which was chartered in 1964 as a graduate institution in the physical and social sciences and Southeastern University of the Health Sciences which was founded in 1981 by osteopathic physicians committed to establishing a College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Southeast. These two learning institutions came together in 1994 to form what is now known as Nova Southeastern University.

Nova offers a broad range of innovative academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels. Promoting a dynamic learning environment that encourages intellectual inquiry, leadership, and commitment to the community, the university complements its on-campus offerings with innovative and highly accessible distance learning programs. These programs utilize various modes of instructional delivery one of which is online via the Internet using a Web-based instructional platform. This platform allows frequent student-teacher and student-student interaction thereby making the online learning experience as rich, if not richer, than the on-campus experience.

Online degree programs offered by Nova Southeastern University include Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems for the undergraduate level; Master of Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA in Finance, Master of Human Services in Child Protection, Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics, in Clinical Vision Research, in Coastal Zone Management, in College Student Affairs, in Computer Information Systems and in Computer Science for the graduate level; and for the professional level, Doctoral Degrees in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy.

Cost of tuition for the different online degree programs vary from program to program. Financial aid is extended in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and student employment.
