Oklahoma Wesleyan University is an evangelical, Christian university located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. It was founded in 1972 by the Wesleyan Church with the mission to “provide higher education within a Christian environment for Wesleyan youth.” The product of a series of mergers of various educational institutions, Oklahoma Wesleyan University was first known as Bartlesville Wesleyan College until 2001 when it was granted permission to be called a university. From then on, the school became known as Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
Today, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs both on campus and online.
