Sacred Heart offers online degree programs. Currently, online programs available at SHU include RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), RN to Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Master of Science in Applied Psychology.
Admission requirements for all online Nursing programs include a current RN license and proof of malpractice insurance. Additional requirements for the RN to BSN program include an AD or a diploma in Nursing and a GPA of 2.5 or above. Additional requirements for the other two nursing programs, which are the same requirements for the Master of Science in Applied Psychology program, include a bachelor's degree (minimum GPA of 3.0), statement of professional goals, and two letters of recommendation.
Tuition rates for the online programs at Sacred Heart, quoted at per credit hour, are as follows: $475 for RN to BSN, $565 for MSN, and $675 for MSAP.
Financial aid is available for online students as SHU in the form of Federal Aid. Student must be a US citizen or permanent resident to qualify.
Sacred Heart University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Its Bachelor and Master of Science Nursing programs are also accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
