Saint Xavier University is the oldest Catholic university in Chicago. Throughout the years it has shown commitment to educating its students in preparation for professional success. It has recently opened its online campus to cater to the needs of students who need the convenience and flexibility that only online education can give. Saint Xavier University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Currently, Saint Xavier offers three online graduate degree programs. The online programs are MA in Curriculum and Instruction, MS in Nursing in Clinical Leadership, and MS in Nursing in Executive Leadership. Saint Xavier’ s MA in Curriculum and Instruction programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Its Nursing programs also have special accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
All of the online programs require applicants to submit the following basic requirements: a completed application form, official transcripts of undergraduate coursework (minimum GPA of 3.0 required), current resume, and 2 to 3 professional recommendations. Applicants to the Curriculum and Instruction program also need to submit copies of any teaching certificates. Applicants to the Nursing programs need to submit a copy of their current registered nursing license.
Saint Xavier is proud of being an affordable educational institute. Tuition for the online Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction program is $450 per credit hour and that of the Master of Science in Nursing programs is $520 per credit hour. In addition to the affordable tuition rates, financial aid is also available in the form of Federal Aid.
